Chef Danie’s --- International Cooking Class pt 2

This interactive culinary for camp for kids will start out with teaching the basics of food culture from other countries. Students will take their taste buds on a culinary tour of other countries and cook a meal from each country and learn the importance of fresh food. Clean up will be taught at the end of every class to ensure proper sanitary techniques are employed. Hand washing as well as a safe and sanitary way to clean the kitchen.

 

Class: Hands on

Instructor: Chef Danie / Culinary Arts Director

Fee: $200.00 per child

Time: Monday – Friday 9:00 – 1:00 (week long summer camp)

Ages: 8-14

Limit: 12 students per class

WEEK TWO

Class 1 – Thailand – Lesson on food culture of Thailand

Menu – Pad Thai with shrimp and tofu

Class 2 - India - Lesson on food culture in India

Menu - Tandoori chicken w/Samosa

Class 3 - China - Lesson on food culture of China

Menu - Cashew Chicken w/ Crab Rangoons

Class 4 - Poland - Lessons on the food culture of Poland

Menu - Pierogies w/ cheese / Lazanki

Class 5 - England - Lesson on food culture of England

Menu - Fish and Chips / Scotch Eggs

9:00 - 10:30 - Morning Prep

10:30 - 10:40 - Morning Break

10:40 - 12:00 Making First meal for lunch

12:00 - 12:30 - Lunch

12:30 - 1:00 - Clean Up
